Inglesina's cutting edge Darwin Reclining car seat has been designed to address the problem of the rounded back position which limits the recommended usage time for other car seats. In fact, it is the only car seat Land of Little have found that is exempt from the 2-hour rule which is standard for infant car seats. 

Inglesina include this carseat in their travel systems - Aptica, Aptica XT and Electa, also available in this store - and the car seat can be clipped onto the chassis of any of these three ranges for a seamless transfer from drive to stroll, or onto the stand-up indoor stand when you get home.

Fits a baby who is 40 to 75 cm tall 

This infant car seat will suit your baby from birth and for just over a year. It can be used on its own and attached with a seat belt, but the i-Size 360 degree swivel base (sold separately) is recommended. The base will also fit the Next Stage Darwin car seat when your little one grows out of this infant seat.

Should I buy the i-Size base as well?

The base is optional but offers two significant advantages:

• Firstly, it is safer because the car seat is more stable on the base and because the risk of installing the seat badly is very much reduced.

• Secondly, it is a lot more convenient because the seat clips in and out of the car, meaning that you can pick up the Darwin seat with your sleeping baby in it and not wake them up! The swivel feature means it is easy and comfortable to put your baby into the seat before setting the seat to a rear-facing position.
